The June 2014 edition of the SFMS Journal featured doctors who wrote about their experiences as patients, with a wide range of health conditions from cancer to HIV/AIDS to chronic pain.  Dr. Li contributed a piece on autoimmunity, as well as the experience of being in-between diagnoses.  Her piece is on page 19 of this journal, but the whole issue is well worth reading.  The SFMS Journal is widely circulated among Bay Area physicians.
